Well, you need at least one button – The Spin button

1. Spin button – press once to spin once
2. Spin button – press and hold to trigger autospin
3. When Spinning – Spin button changes into Stop button. Press once to stop the spinning (or to stop autospin if autospin is on)

These two functions would cover the core Slot Machine mechanics.

Is that enough? Can we get by with just one button on a slot machine?

Yes and No.
